Ramping

Helical drilling
- How to set the tool centroid: ødc (tool centroid) = øDH (desired hole diameter) - DCX (maximum cutting diameter)
- Please be careful that the depth of cut per lap does not exceed the maximum amount of cut APMX.
- Set the tool revolution direction so that it suits for downcutting.
- When ramping or helical machining, reduce the feed rate. (To 60% or less of the calculated feed rate)
- When drilling, set the axial feed rate to 0.2 mm/rev or less.
- Please be careful about safety as continuous long cutting chips may be scattered during drilling.

Tool runout amount L
The depth of cut ap of the JL chip breaker depends on the threaded insert size.
The 06 size is 0.6 mm, the 08 size is 0.9 mm, and the 09/12/14 size is up to 1.2 mm.

Precautions for machining program

When using AJX, please create a CAM program as a radius cutter.
The approximated radius RE and the uncut amount K at that time are as follows.
