Cutting edge height adjustment procedure

• Step 1 Loosen the fixing screw (5).
• Step 2 Secure the insert (1) to the insert seat with clamp screws (2).
• Step 3 Make sure that the taper neck of the adjustment screw (3) is in contact with the insert. If not, tighten the adjustment screw (3) counterclockwise to bring it into contact with the insert (1).
• Step 4 In this state, measure the height of the cutting edge and check the highest cutting edge. Adjust to match the height with this highest cutting edge.
• Step 5 Tighten the adjustment screw (3) of the cutting edge with a low cutting edge counterclockwise to raise the cutting edge height to the position of the highest cutting edge.
• Step 6 Tighten the fixing screw (5).

Caution

• 1. The height of the cutting edge can only be adjusted in the upward direction. The adjustable range is 0.15 to 0.2 mm. The height of the cutting edge is difficult to increase near the upper limit of the adjustment range. In this case, remove the insert (1) once, loosen the adjustment screw (3), and then perform the adjustment again.
• 2. Be careful not to give a big impact when touching or separating the dial terminal from the insert.
