Cutting conditions
Vc (PSFL) = 180 m/min (n = 910 min^-1) Vf (PSFL) = 910 mm/min (fz = 0.25 mm/t)
Vc (other manufacturer's product) = 150 m/min (n = 758 min^-1) Vf (other company's product) = 606 mm/min (fz = 0.2 mm/t)
ap = 60 mm ae = 7 mm air blow
Machine used: Horizontal machining center (BT50)
Economical and durable 4-corner insert
Cutting force is reduced by the sharpness of the 3D chip breaker insert and the large positive rake angle

- Cutting edge shape designed with an emphasis on sharpness
- Low resistance positive rake angle
Common insert
09 size can use the same insert as PSF and is easy to manage

Performance/test information
High efficiency machining of the side surface of the casting plate
In the past, in order to suppress chatter vibration due to unstable workpiece clamps, it was necessary to use a high feed radius scatter to reduce the depth of cut (ap).
PSFL, which adopted unequal lead arrangement and unequal division, could be machined without chattering even at ap = 50 mm.
It was possible to significantly reduce the machining time compared to the machining with the conventional high feed radius cutter.

Products made by other manufacturers

Trochoidal milling of titanium alloy
Other manufacturers' products are chipped at the cutting edge after 40 minutes of machining.
Even after 50 minutes of machining, the cutting edge of the PSFL was not chipped, with only slight wear, and capable of further milling.

FC250 long lifespan machining
Other manufacturers' products produced large vibrations during machining and chipped at an early stage, but PSFL was able to achieve long-lifespan machining without chipping by suppressing vibration during machining due to its anti-vibration effect.
