• If the mounting location is weak, apply a sturdy fabric patch to the area before mounting. Check the top and bottom of the grommet carefully before punching it. • While working, be very careful not to catch your finger, etc., and be mindful of work safety, such as by always using safety goggles to prevent an eye injury if a grommet or a piece of punch scrap, etc. happens to fly away during use. Use a wooden mallet or plastic hammer to tap it.
