· Natural stone with thousands of years of natural seasoning, so it is almost free from deterioration over time.

· Hardness is twice or more that of cast iron, which is the most significant feature of the Graplate.
· With cast iron surface plates, wringing can sometimes interrupt work; however, under normal conditions, wringing is not a concern with the Graplate, so work can be performed with ease.
· Stone is free from burrs or protrusions because it is hard, has a finer grain structure and is less sticky than cast iron. Therefore, it is free from flatness deviation, causing no damage to other instruments.
