[What is a Newton Weight?]
A weight based on the mass of a newton (N), which is the standard international unit (SI) of force. The mass of 1 N is equivalent to about 102 g.
The conventionally-used kilogram-force (kgf) is not an SI unit, and so cannot be used on a proof of transaction document.
· Because the mass required to obtain a force of 1 N varies depending on gravitational acceleration, be sure to specify the location at which the product will be used when placing your order.
· The maximum allowable error for a newton weight is M1 grade.
· The JCSS calibration service is for Class 3.
