AGL-40-GA-30P Aspherical Lens

Caution
Product Description
[Features]
· A precisely polished, non-spherical lens which, when a plane wave is incident, is capable of concentrating the beam to roughly the size of the diffraction limit.
· Used when light from semiconductor lasers is turned into parallel light, for example, and when parallel light is concentrated by fibers.
· By enlarging the NA (numerical aperture), light can be efficiently concentrated.
· The AGL-EA/AGL-GA series have been made available with profile error kept at 0.1 µm or less, and the AGL-EB/AGL-GB series with profile error of 0.5 µm or less.
· Lens holders (LHF-S, LHA) for fixing lenses are available.
· * The aspheric lens has an orientation for light incidence.
· * Be sure to have parallel light incident from the convex surface for use.
· * Having parallel light incident from the flat side causes the spherical aberration to increase, so that light cannot be condensed into a small area.
· * If used with wavelengths outside the design wavelength range, spherical aberration occurs and the condensing spot cannot be narrowed to the diffraction limit .
· * This precision polished aspheric lens is not an achromatized lens.
· * The focal length (back focus) will vary when the product is used for wavelengths other than the measurement wavelengths.
· * The lens does not have an antireflection coating and thus has loss due to reflections at the front and rear surfaces, providing a transmittance of 85% or less.
