Product Description
[Features]
· This is a mirror with a curved surface to convert the divergent light from the point light source into a directional beam.
· By making the curved surface a paraboloid, directional light can be produced more efficiently than with a concave mirror with a spherical surface.
· It is used as a reflecting mirror in a lamp, such as in the lamp housing of a microscope.
· High performance is achieved by precise aspherical processing.
· Because the aluminum coating has a damage resistant protective coat, it can be used for long periods with stability.
· A hole has been drilled on the axis of the paraboloid which allows a lamp to be placed simply at the focal position.
· When a thick parallel light is incident, light can be gathered at one point.
· TEMPAX® is a registered trademark of SCHOTT AG.
· Elliptical mirrors (TCEA) for condensing light from a lamp into one point are also available.
· * If a light source with high directivity is placed at the focal point, light rays will not reach the mirror surface and parabolic mirror effects cannot be obtained.
· * Light near the center of the optical axis will not be reflected due to the hole in the mirror, so the luminance distribution of parallel light may be a ring-shaped distribution.
· * When condensing light from the parabolic mirror via the lens, the effect of the light entering the lens directly from the lamp means that the light will not converge on one point.
