Product Description
[Features]
· The internal reflection type paraboloid lens is an optical element capable of collecting the light incident from various directions onto an emission end face by means of reflection off a streamlined side face.
· It is used as a condenser for solar cells.
· For directional light with an incidence angle of 25° or less, light can be efficiently collected onto the emission end face no matter from which direction it is incident.
· As inner reflection of the glass is used, the configuration can be simplified compared to the lens system.
· By using glass lens press molding technology, both high performance and low price have been achieved.
· * Since total reflection is provided on the sides (aspheric), reflectance will be dramatically worsened if fingerprints or dirt are adhered to the sides.
· * The reflectance of the sides is 99% or more, but anti-reflective coating is not applied to the incident and emitting surfaces, so a reflection loss of 4% will occur for each.
· * Light emitted from the end surface does not condense to one point, but instead disperses randomly over a large area.
· * As such, this cannot be used for condensed beam or collimated beam applications.
