· Beam splitter where the thickness of the substrate is thinned to the limit.
· Reflected light can be extracted without affecting the beam shift or chromatic dispersion of transmitted light even if placed in the optical pathway.
· The glass base plates are available in 2 types of thickness, 300 μm and 90 μm.
· The substrate is coated with a dielectric multilayer film that splits transmission and reflection 1:1.
· Dielectric multilayer film is coated on the front and antireflection film on the back to minimize loss of light.
· The thin glass substrate is firmly fixed to the holding glass resistant to thermal expansion.
· Unlike pellicle types, the synthetic quartz is machined to be thin for excellent durability and vibration resistance.
· * Since the glass substrate of the thin plate beam splitter is extremely thin, it is very fragile and can be damaged even with minimal force.
· * Handle with great caution.
· * If debris adheres to the surface of the element, it cannot be wiped with lens paper or similar equipment.
· * Blow off debris with an air blower.
· * When linearly polarized light such as laser light is used, reflectance and transmittance change depending on the polarization direction.
· * When adjusting the branching ratio precisely to 1:1, ensure the direction of polarization is set to 45 degrees or use circular polarization of light.
· * Transmittance wavelength characteristics will change when used with an incident angle other than 45°.
· * The reflection surface may warp if the retaining glass is pushed or pressed hard.
· * When fixing, be sure to support only the outer frame.
· * The surface reflectance accuracy may deteriorate when used in environments with drastic temperatures changes.
· * Phase differences of incident light are not preserved in reflected light and transmitted light.
· * Use a wave plate for phase difference compensation.
