· With the central heating of most buildings, the warm air rises, so floor areas are difficult to keep warm.
· " Placement of the Hokatto-e heater on the floor provides direct warmth to workers.
· The low temperature surface means there is no danger of flames.
· Safe surface temperature of less than 400°C. (Although the surface temperature of typical electric heaters is 750°C, the Hokatto-e warms the whole panel to less than 400°C, which is said to be the optimum for far-infrared radiation efficiency.
