3RT6 contactors are finger-safe according to EN 50274.

Auxiliary contact complement
Size S00 contactors have an auxiliary contact integrated in thebasic unit. The basic units size S0 contain two integratedauxiliary contacts (1 NO + 1 NC).
Size S2/S3 contactors have no auxiliary contact integrated.
Size S6/S10/S12 contactors contain 4 integrated auxiliarycontacts (2 NO + 2 NC).
All basic units (except coupling contactors) can be extendedwith auxiliary switch blocks:
• For sizes S00/S0/S2/S6/S10/S12, additional auxiliary switcheswith a maximum of four auxiliary contacts can be mounted.
• For size S3, additional auxiliary switches with a maximum ofeight auxiliary contacts can be mounted.
• Of the maximum number of auxiliary contacts (integrated plusmountable) possible on the device, no more than four NC contacts are permitted.

Contact reliability
If voltages ≤ 110 V and currents ≤ 100 mA are to be switched,the auxiliary contacts of the 3RT6 contactor or 3RH61 contactorrelay should be used as they guarantee a high level of contactreliability.

Connection methods
The 3RT6/3RT5 contactors are available with screw terminals.

Ratings of three-phase motors
The quoted rating (in kW) refers to the output power on the motorshaft (according to the nameplate).

Control supply voltage
Contactors S00 to S3 are available as versions for AC orDC operations.Contactors S6 to S12 are available as AC/DC versions.

Surge suppression
The contactors S00-S3 can be equipped with surge suppressorslike varistors, RC-elements or diode combinations.Contactors S6-S12 are already equipped with varistor surgesuppressors.
