1. Performance
· Ultra-high processing speed
Achieves 0 to 3,000 steps at ultra-high speeds of 80ns / step (ST command). For 3,001 steps or higher, the processing speed is 580ns / step (only for L40 and L60).
· Program capacity
L14 and L30: 2.5k steps
L40 and L60: 8k steps
· Maximum number of I/O points
One FP-X0 control unit can be connected with up to 3 expansion units.
　As a result, the maximum number of I/O points is 150.
　Additionally, with the use of the FP0 expansion adapter, and with the FP0R expansion unit connected, the maximum number of points can be increased to up to 216 points.
　(Only for L40R, L40MR, L60R and L60MR)

2. Network
· Up to 2 communication port channels
An RS232C port is built into the main body. L40MR and L60MR come equipped with 2 channels, in addition to an RS485 port.
· · Modbus-RTU
Can communicate with a worldwide de facto standard Modbus-RTU (binary) compatible device (temperature controller, inverter, etc.) without programming.

· PLC Link
Using L40MR or L60MR allows for easy bit/word data sharing among up to 16 PLC devices.
· · Computer Link
Easy communication with Panasonic device SUNX PLC open protocol "MEWTOCOL"-compatible equipment
(display, image processor, temperature controller, power meter, etc.) without programming.
· Universal Serial Communication
Generate and send commands in accordance with the communication protocol of partner devices such as measuring instruments, barcode readers, RF-ID, etc.
　Also sends data without interruption.

● Positioning / Function
· Built-in 2-axis pulse output
L14 has 1-axis pulse output, and L30 / L40 / L60 have 2-axis pulse output functionality built into the control unit.
　The 2-axis types are capable of linear interpolation. (Only L40 and L60)
· Analog input function
Multi-function analog input (10bit, 2ch)
Voltage input (0 to 10 V), thermistor input and volume input
