SF Relay, Slim Type Specification

SF Relay, Slim Type Exterior
(EN50205 Class A TUV certified)
Force-guided contact mechanism detects contact welding and enables construction of safety circuits.
- Includes mechanism so that a-contacts and b-contacts cannot close at the same time.
- Structure maintains contact separation of at least 0.5 mm.

Gap With Other Contact When Contact Welded
- *Below, if a-contacts are welded, then De-energized is shown; if b-contacts are welded and the nominal voltage is applied, then Energized is shown for the contact state.
|   | State Of Other Contacts | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3-4 (B-Contact) | 5-6 (A-Contact) | 7-8 (A-Contact) | 9-10 (A-Contact) | ||
| Welded Contact Terminal No. | 3-4 (b-contact) | - | >0.5 | >0.5 | >0.5 |
| 5-6 (a-contact) | >0.5 | - | |||
| 7-8 (a-contact) | >0.5 | - | |||
| 9-10 (a-contact) | >0.5 | - | |||
>0.5: Contact gap is 0.5 mm or more
Empty field: contact is in either ON or OFF state
- *Contact gap shows initial state. Checks for the actual ON/OFF load are needed, in case movement of the contacts occurs due to opening/closing of the load.

Standard type internal schematic diagram
As the main relay body is small and slim, the plan for the circuit board can be made smaller.
- 4 Poles Type: Length: 40 × Width 13 × Height 24 mm
- 6 Poles Type: Length: 50 × Width 13 × Height 24 mm
Built-in LED eliminates need for design and implementation of separate LED circuit, reducing costs and labor.
The load can be stopped immediately, maintaining safety.
Due to the increased shock resistance, can be used with confidence in an environment where there is vibration or shock caused by machine tools or equipment.
PC board mount socket available (4 poles / 6 poles).
Finger-safe DIN rail mount terminal sockets also available (Y type terminal, round terminal compatible) (for 4 poles / 6 poles).
SF Relay, Slim Type Applications
- Machine tools
- Robots
- Safety PLCs
- Circuits that are required to comply with particular safety standards such as those for motor vehicle production equipment
