Product Key Features
Top-Level Drive Performance Among Compact Inverters
Achieves a high torque of 200% / 0.5 Hz with advanced magnetic-flux vector control (3.7 K or less)
It is a step-up from general-purpose magnetic-flux vector control to advanced magnetic-flux vector control. Best-in-class drive performance.Featuring V/F control and general-purpose magnetic-flux vector control, the FREQROL-E700 is a worry-free choice for replacing conventional models (FREQROL-E500 series).
The 5.5 K to 15 K models boast a torque of 150% / 0.5 Hz.

Example of speed vs. torque characteristics

Advanced auto-tuning
Mitsubishi’s proprietary no-rotation auto-tuning function also permits optimal control of various motors.Accurate tuning is possible even when the machine cannot be run for trial operation after adjusting the parameters. The advanced magnetic-flux vector control is ideal for lifts used in automated warehouses, etc., which require a high torque at low speed.
Improved short-term overload capacity (200% for 3 sec)
The short-term overload capacity has improved to 200% for 3 sec (from 200% for 0.5 sec on the conventional models). Steady, robust operation with few overcurrent trips is possible.
Torque limiting and current limiting functions
The improved torque limiting and current limiting functions ensure machine protection, limits loads, and stop movements upon contact.

No need to worry about the impact load when the traveling carriage carrying the inverter goes over a height gap.

Torque limitation gives you a peace of mind and machine protection by preventing tool blades from breaking, etc.
Improved regeneration capacity
Built-in 0.4 K to 15 K brake transistor.
An optional brake resistor can be connected to improve regeneration capacity.
Outstanding Operability
Simple setting mode
Pr. 79, "Operation Mode Selection," can be set by a few simple steps according to the combination of a start command and a speed command.

Simple setting mode
Equipped with USB connectors. Easy settings using a FR Configurator from a PC
A USB connector (Mini B connector) comes as standard. Easy connection which doesn’t require a converter is the result of our pursuit of user-friendliness.Setting support with the FR Configurator (inverter setup software) wizard (interactive) function.
High-speed sampling is also possible when the high-speed graph function is used in the USB mode.

USB + FR Configurator opens the door to advanced operability
Full Scalability
Various built-in options
Digital inputs / analog outputs can be expanded and various communication protocols supported by installing the corresponding built-in options, to achieve a high level of expandability comparable with the FREQROL-A700 series.
(Only one built-in option can be installed.)
- *For products with specifications that come with the standard control circuit terminal, use the FR-A7□□ E kit which is comprised of an optional circuit board and a dedicated front cover.

Built-in options and dedicated front cover for built-in options
Supported built-in options
FR-A7AX E kit: 16-bit digital input
FR-A7AY E kit: digital output / expanded analog output
FR-A7AR E kit: relay output
FR-E7DS: 24 V DC input (only models supporting safety stop / bundled with a dedicated front cover)
FR-A7NC E kit: CC-Link communication
FR-A7ND E kit: DeviceNet communication
FR-A7NP E kit: PROFIBUS-DP communication
FR-A7NL E kit: LonWorks communication
Different control terminals to choose from according to your specific application
2-port RS-485 terminal and other non-standard terminal cards are available as options.
The terminal card is detachable and can be easily replaced from a standard terminal card.

Terminal card
Compatible with all networks
- Compatible with EIA-485 (RS-485), ModbusRTU (standard), CC-Link, PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet and LONWORKS (option).
- The inverters are designed to be compatible with networks on their own; for example, the FRE700-NC is compatible with CC-Link communication and the FR-E700-NF is compatible with FL remote communication.
Compact and Space-Saving
High-performance features have been condensed into its compact body
The installation dimensions are the same as those of the conventional models (FREQROL-E500 series) to ensure compatibility. (7.5 K or less)
Side-by-side installation to save space
Multiple units can be installed side by side in contact with each other to save space. Use the inverter at an ambient temperature of 40°C or below.

Safe Maintainability
Long Lifespan Design
- The cooling fan is designed to last 10 years (*1). When combined with the ON/OFF control, the cooling fan will last even longer.
- Uses capacitors which are designed to last 10 years (*1, 2) to achieve a long lifespan. (Uses capacitors with a durability of 5,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 105°C.)
- Estimated lifespan of components.
| Part Name | FR-E700 Estimated Lifespan | JEMA Estimation*3 |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling Fan | 10 years | 2 to 3 years |
| Main circuit smoothing capacitor | 10 years | 5 years |
| PCB smoothing capacitor | 10 years | 5 years |
