Rotation Range of Keyway / Angle Adjustment

Conceptual image of rotation range of keyway and angle adjustment for CRA1□□U Series
The shaft rotates clockwise when the pressure is applied from the A port.
The clockwise rotation end position is adjusted using the angle adjusting screw.
- *Take appropriate measures so that no excessive external impact or vibration is applied to the angle adjusting screw. Failure to do so may cause the angle adjusting screw to become loose or drop.

Precautions
Caution on Design
- *Do not use a rotary actuator of the air-hydro type near fire or on equipment or machinery whose ambient temperature exceeds 60°C.
Since the air-hydro type uses a flammable hydraulic fluid, there is a danger of potential fire. - *Do not use in an environment, equipment, or machine that is not compatible with oil mist.
Rotary actuators of the air-hydro type generate an oil mist during operation which may affect the environment. - *Be sure to install an exhaust cleaner on the directional control valve for the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type.
A very small amount of hydraulic fluid is discharged from the exhaust port of the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type's directional control valve, which may contaminate the surrounding area. - *Install a rotary actuator of the air-hydro type in locations where it can be serviced easily.
Since the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type requires maintenance, such as refilling of hydraulic fluid and bleeding of air, ensure sufficient space for these activities. - *Do not use in cases where external leakage of hydraulic oil may adversely affect equipment or machinery.
Although it occurs in minute amounts, a certain amount of sliding leakage from the piston seal is unavoidable with the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type. Because of the construction of the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type, hydraulic oil may leak into the outside due to sliding leakage.
Caution on Selection
- *Air hydro-type rotary actuators should be selected in combination with the air-hydro unit.
Selecting a proper air-hydro unit is necessary for good operation of the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type. - *Use self-align fittings in conjunction with the piping for the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type.
Do not use a single-action fitting with the piping for the rotary actuator of the air-hydro type, as this may result in oil leakage. - *See the manufacturer's catalog for product information other than the above.
