Usage Examples

Preventing swaying on material handling systems (conveyors)
Prevents damage to loads due to swaying of suspended conveyor systems.

Controlling travel speed
Regulates malfunctions and changes in speed to provide accurate and consistent travel speed.

Controlling lid-closing
Prevents injury or physical damage arising from lids suddenly closing.

Facilitating smooth and accurate operation of equipment
Extension and compression dampers regulate drill travel to eliminate errors when drilling through the material to the other side, while at the same time ensuring a neat machined surface finish.
Adjustment Method

Adjustment method diagram
- 1. RB-ADA Series Extension And Compression Double Acting Damper can be finely adjusted to meet any given need. For example, it is possible to fix the extension side so that only the compression side can be adjusted, or conversely to fix the compression side so that only the extension side can be adjusted, or to make it so that both the extension and compression sides can be adjusted. Adjustments can be made easily by simply inserting the alignment cartridge on the extension or compression side and matching it to the scale markings. This product is therefore effective for machines and equipment that require changeable load weights and collision speeds.
The RB-ADA Series allows for individual adjustment of compression as well as extension. As shown in the diagram, the upper slot is for inserting the extension side adjustment cartridge, while the lower slot is for inserting the compression side adjustment cartridge. Use as appropriate to match application. - 2. To make adjustments, turn the locking screw to the appropriate scale marking and then lock the adjustment dial in place using the provided hex wrench to turn the locking screw, paying close attention to the maximum thrust for each model.
- 3. In both extension and compression modes, ensure the unit stops before 3 mm of stroke, preventing bottoming out.
