There is no need of tapping beforehand because its own blade cuts materials. Reinforcing a female thread with Ensat enables using aluminum and resin parts, which helps weight reduction. Ensat supports a force applied to the internal threads with external threads that is slightly larger, which enables withstanding a force larger than a directly tapped thread can.
