Needle rollers with small diameters are equally spaced by means of a retainer and purpose of these assemblies is to transmit a thrust load between 2 relatively rotating objects while greatly reducing friction. There are thrust lathes used as track surfaces, which can be supplied separately or integrated with the needle roller and cage assembly.
