Often used to transport small parts at a small pitch in transport of short (usually 10 mm or shorter) items. Also suitable for low-noise and other environmentally friendly applications. Standard environment-resistant chain. For special atmospheres such as underwater, acidic, alkaline, and low/high temperature (-20°C to 400°C). Cold working of parts makes them weakly magnetic.

· Pins other than those of fitting links are rivet shape, regardless of whether any attachments are present.
· The R25 offset link is a two pitch offset link.
· Pin types of fitting links are clip type for models RS25 to RS60, and split pin type for model numbers RS80 and higher.
