Cautions and Prohibitions

Precautions for use

Handling

Do not apply excessive load to the cord. (29.42N or less)
Applying more may cause the cord to break.
When repeatedly bending the cord, ensure the bending radius is at least R20mm.
As the Wye spring type has a thin end, please be careful during handling.

Installation

  • Do not tighten the nut with excessive force. Please refer to the table below for tightening torque and mounting hole dimension.
  • The thread section of the base has special thread dimensions, so installation with standard tapping is not possible.
TypeTightening torque (maximum)
M50.98 N⋅m
M82.94 N⋅m
M103.92 N⋅m

C (toothed washer external dimensions)⌀9.2 mm⌀15 mm⌀18 mm
· Applying excessive load to the base can cause deformation. Please handle the installation with utmost care.

Operation

  • Do not subject the actuator to excessive force. The strength of the actuator is a maximum of 14.7 N, but for repeated operation, limit it to a maximum of 1.96 N (for Wye spring type, a maximum of 0.49 N).
  • The operation characteristics vary depending on the direction of force (X, Y, Z).
  • The tactile switch operates by having the actuator move in response to force applied to the end, which opens and closes the internal switch through its mechanism. This operates on a different principle from switches that are activated simply by touching the actuator (such as the NL limit type touch switch and the D5C cylindrical touch switch).
  • If the stroke is excessive on the Wye spring type, it may cause breakage. Please limit the overall movement (TT) to the reference value.
  • When using in locations where oil, water, or similar substances may come into direct contact with the switch, please attach a protective cover (protective cover is not available for sale).
  • When used outdoors, malfunctions may occur due to ozone degradation and other factors. In addition, differences in the operating environment may affect durability.
