How to Use of OMRON Micro Switches
OMRON Micro Switches Regarding Installation
To mount the Micro Switches, use M2 screws and securely attach them using flat washers, spring washers, etc. The tightening torque should be 0.08 to 0.1 N m.

OMRON Micro Switches Regarding Use with Microloads
Using a general-purpose Micro Switches when opening and closing a microload circuit can cause poor contact. We recommend using the switch within the range of use, referring to the diagram below. Even if a microload type is used within the areashown in the diagram below, if the load generates an inrush current when opening and closing, contact wear will be rapid and durability will decrease, so insert a contact protection circuit as necessary. The minimum applicable load isthe N-level reference value. This represents the failure level at a confidence level of 60% ( λ60
). (JIS C5003)
λ60=0.5×10-6/times means that at a confidence level of 60%, failure is estimated to occur less than 1/2,000,000 times.

Cautions and Prohibitions of OMRON Micro Switches
OMRON Micro Switches Regarding Soldering
- As a guideline, the soldering time for connecting to the soldering terminals
should be within 3 seconds using a soldering iron with a tip temperature of 300°C or less, and after soldering, do not apply external force for 1 minute. Working at excessive temperatures or heating for long periods of time may causethe characteristics of the Micro Switches to deteriorate. - When connecting PCB terminals to PCBs
using an automatic soldering bath, we recommend working at 260°C±5°C for no more than 5 seconds. Also, be sure to keep the solder and flux liquid surface from exceeding the surface of the board.
When soldering by hand, the processing time should be no more than 3 seconds with a soldering iron tip temperature of 350°C or less, and no external force should be applied for 1 minute after soldering. Also, apply solder away from theMicro Switches case to prevent solder and flux from flowing into the case.
