    Micro Switches Regarding installation

    The Micro Switches Use M3 screws for mounting and securely attach using flat washers, spring washers, etc. The tightening torque should be 0.39 to 0.59 N m.

     

    Mounting direction

    Regarding the actuator specifications, please install the actuator in a direction that does not apply its own weight to the Micro Switches.
    This is a low Micro Switches and has a small return force, which may cause a return failure.

     

    Regarding use with Micro Switches

    Using a general-purpose switch when switching a Micro Switches circuit can cause poor contact. We recommend using the switch within the range of use, referring to the diagram below. Even if a microload type is used within the area shown inthe diagram below, if the load generates an inrush current when Micro Switches, contact wear will be rapid and durability will decrease, so insert a contact protection circuit as necessary. The minimum applicable load is the N-levelreference value. This represents the failure level at a confidence level of 60% (λ60
    ).  (JIS C5003)
    λ60 = 0.5×10-6/times means that at a confidence level of 60%, failure is estimated to occur less than 1/2,000,000 times.

    Micro Switches Handling

    Do not subject the switch to strong shocks, as this is a low Micro Switches and may cause damage to the internal mechanism.

     

    Regarding soldering

    • As a guideline, the soldering time for connecting to the soldering terminals should be less than 5 seconds with a soldering iron of 60W (tip temperature +250 to +350°C), and no external force should be applied for 1 minute after soldering
      . Use the minimum amount of flux possible. If flux gets inside the Micro Switches, it may cause contact failure.
    • Micro Switches Connection to #187 tab terminals
      : Use a #187 tab receptacle and insert it straight into the terminal.
      Applying excessive external force to the side or top/bottom of the terminal may cause deformation of the terminal and damage to the housing.
