· A thin sheet wound into a cylindrical form and slit down the middle. By inserting (press-fitting) into a small hole with a diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the pin, the internal pressure acting on the hole (the force of the pin trying to expand) prevents the pin from coming out.
· Uses a hollow pin rather than a solid one, allowing for a reduction in weight.
· Used for positioning, preventing rotations, retaining, etc.
· Used for simple fastening, positioning, etc.
· The gripping force prevents it from coming out of the corresponding piece.
· Use a double pin if you want to increase the shear load. (The load is the sum of the shear load of both the inner and outer pins)
