· Eccentric retaining rings for general use.
· Ring-shaped retaining rings with holes (shafts) that have been machined with grooves to prevent retained components such as bearings from coming out in the thrust direction (parallel direction to the shaft).
· Retaining rings are generally inserted after being narrowed (or widened) with dedicated pliers. (Use a taper jig for insertion to reduce permanent deformation.)
