Caution
Product Description
A screw with an ultra-thin hexalobular socket head.
[Features]
· A hexalobular socket head screw with an extremely low head height.
· Eliminates concerns of the head protruding after tightening.
· The shape of the hexalobular recess can withstand high tightening torque.
[Applications]
· Space-saving in machinery and equipment, and areas where space is limited above the screw.

Screw With Ultra-Thin Hexalobular Socket Head

Screw with an ultra-thin hexalobular socket head. Head protusion after tightening is not an issue. Optimal for space-saving in machinery and equipment and for areas where space is limited above.
The shape of the hexalobular recess can withstand high tightening torque. Requires dedicated wrench for attaching and detaching.
Materials: SETS uses SUSXM7 (SUS304 equivalent), SET-BNI uses SWCH (hardness 400 HV) with black nickel plating finishing, and SET-NI uses SWCH (hardness 400 HV) with nickel plating finishing.
Hexalobular Hole Features
Superior transmission efficiency of tightening torque

The hexalobular hole transmits the tool force at 15°, which allows for more efficient transmission of the tightening torque.

Comparatively, hexagonal sockets transmit the tool force at 60°, causing the tightening torque force to spread outward, incurring loss.
Reduces the risk of tool and screw head damage
The hexalobular hole ensures the tool is in contact with the surface, thereby creating no stress concentration, and reducing the risk of tool and screw head damage.
Comparatively, a hexagonal hole causes the tool to only make contact at the corners, so stress concentrates at the tool corners when the tightening torque is high, which can damage the tool or the screw head.
No cam out
Cam out is a phenomenon where the tool is dislocated from the screw unless the screwdriver or other tool for a Phillips screw is being pressed in while tightening. When cam out occurs, the amount of tool engagement with the Phillips head is reduced, causing tool or screw head damage.
There is no cam out with the hexalobular hole, enabling safe and secure tightening.
