Features of the Han Series Connector

    Han-E Series
Core numbers from 6-core to 48-core are available, and a large Han-E type hood is used. Rated current can be up to 16 A and voltage up to 500 VAC, with pollution degree 3 (Note 1) of the VDE0110 standard allowed, so it is especially suitable as a power connector. Connection method is the screw-fastening mounting method. UL and CSA standards are acquired. (For international standards, see P.A2-227).
    Han-A Series
Core numbers from 3-core to 32-core are available, and the Han-A type hood, which is smaller than the Han-E type, is used. Rated current can be up to 10 A (3 cores), 16 A (10 cores, 16 cores) and voltage up to 250 VAC, with pollution degree 3 (Note 1) of the VDE0110 standard allowed. Connection method is the screw-fastening mounting method. UL and CSA standards are acquired.
    Han-D Series
Core numbers from 7-core to 128-core are available, and either Han-A type or Han-E type hoods can be used depending on the number of cores. With a high-density arrangement, it is ideal as a multi-core connector for general signals. Rated current can be up to 10 A and voltage up to 250 VAC, with pollution degree 3 (Note 1) of the VDE0110 standard allowed. Connection method is the crimping method. UL and CSA standards are acquired.
    Han-DD Series
Core numbers from 24-core to 108-core are available, and a large Han-E type hood is used. With an ultra-high-density arrangement, it is ideal for use as a super-multi-core connector. Rated current can be up to 10 A and voltage up to 250 VAC, with pollution degree 3 (Note 1) of the VDE0110 standard allowed. Connection method is the crimping method. UL and CSA standards are acquired.
(Note 1) When setting up the rated voltage for the VDE0110, the voltage is set so that it can be used safely in its actual usage environment. To do so, it sets a rated voltage suitable for each environment by pre-dividing into groups for the environment in which it is used. The compatible pollution degree 3 environment of this product is as follows.
Pollution degree 3: Industrial and agricultural environments without air-conditioning including warehouses, boiler rooms, and repair shops, and factories etc. with machine tools and assembly devices.
    * Equivalent to the former insulation group C.

    Materials / Finish

    Item Material / Finish
    Hood Aluminum Die-cast / Gray *
Base for Panel Aluminum Die-cast / Gray **
    Contact Copper Alloy (Silver Plating)
Insulator Glass-Filled Thermoplastic Synthetic Resin (UL)

    * Some products are plastic. Check each page for details.
** The lever material is in the process of being changed from iron to polycarbonate, but there are no changes in operating temperature or other specifications.
(Note): Regarding the pollution degree, refer to (Note 1) above.
    * The Han-DD and Han-D Series can support high voltages depending on how the contacts are arranged.

Contact Arrangement Diagram of High Voltage Supporting Han-D and Han-DD

If all contacts of the crimp type Han-D and Han-DD series are used, allowable voltage is 250 VAC, with pollution degree of VDE0110. However, through partial use of the contacts, while the insulation groups are the same, higher voltage becomes allowable. This means that high voltage can be supported safely without having to change the size of the connectors. Also, the same arrangement is possible if 2 connectors are used side by side.
