Product Description
The ToF measurement method is not affected by the material or surface condition of the object. Sensing range up to 3M can handle workpieces of various sizes. The compact body design allows installation even in tight spaces. Simple setup makes it easy to use even for inexperienced users.
Product Overview
TOF measurement method is not affected by the detected material or surface conditions
No adjustment is required even when producing on production lines with different colored or foreign object workpieces. Stable detection is possible even if the workpiece surface is highly reflective or has a rough, matte texture.

Easily detect workpieces of different sizes within 3 m
Diffuse reflection type with 3 m detection distance saves installation space; minimum light spot diameter ⌀2.8 mm allows easy detection even when workpiece size changes

Usage Method
(2) Distance Setting and Normally Open/Normally Closed Mode Setting
a. Adjustment Notes and Instructions
I. When using this product, be sure to perform distance setting.
II. Since the distance setting regulator of this product is a button-type regulator, please do not confuse the button press duration when setting the distance, and confirm the function after the setting is completed.
(1). Normally open mode setting: Press and hold the yellow button for 2.5s (more than 2.5s, less than 7s) and release. If the setting is successful, the power indicator will flash quickly 3 times.

(2). Normally closed mode setting: Press and hold the yellow button for 7 seconds (more than 7 seconds, less than 12 seconds) and release. If the setting is successful, the power indicator will flash rapidly 3 times.

(3) Two-Point Setting Method
I. When using the two-point setting, the product can be taught to the midpoint between the far and near positions.
II. When using this function, the interval between learning sessions must not exceed 12 seconds; otherwise, the output indicator will flash rapidly 3 times and the setting will restart.
(1). Setting method: When the workpiece is at the far end, briefly press the yellow button once; then, when the workpiece is at the near end, briefly press the yellow button once again to set the value (the set value will be the midpoint between the target distances of the first and second yellow button presses; the order of button presses can be swapped).
(1) Slow mode setting method: Press and hold the yellow button for more than 12 seconds, then release. The power indicator will flash slowly 6 times, indicating the setting is successful.

(4) Response Time Adjustment
I. This function adjusts the output time, allowing the product to switch between high-speed output mode (1 ms) and low-speed output mode (100 ms).
II. If the detected object moves at a high speed, you can use the high-speed mode for detection. If the detected object has a certain slope or is highly reflective, using the fast response mode allows the sensor to have an anti-signal jitter function.

■Installation
(1) About Installation
(1) When sensors are installed facing each other, mutual interference may occur. Therefore, avoid aligning the optical axes of the sensors during installation.
(2) When setting up, please avoid strong light sources such as sunlight, fluorescent lamps, or incandescent lamps entering the detection angle of the photoelectric sensor.
(3) When installing the photoelectric sensor, striking it with a hammer or similar tool may damage its waterproof function. Therefore, avoid hitting the sensor with a hammer or similar tools.
(4) When installing the main body, please use M3 screws. The tightening torque when installing the enclosure should be less than 0.5 N⋅m.
(2) About Installation Direction
(1) When installing, ensure that the detection surface of the TOF photoelectric switch is aligned parallel to the detected object (it must not be tilted relative to the object).
However, when detecting glossy objects (shiny surfaces), as shown in the figure below, install the photoelectric switch at a 5° to 10° angle. At this time, make sure there is no impact on the background object.
(2) When there is a reflective surface below the photoelectric switch, light emitted from the detected object may be reflected back to the photoelectric switch by the mirror surface, sometimes causing unstable operation. Therefore, as shown below, the photoelectric switch should be installed at an angle or at a certain distance from the surface below.

(3) Regarding the installation direction of the photoelectric switch, pay attention to the movement direction of the detected object. Install as shown in the figure below.
Additionally, when there are extreme changes in the color or material of the detected object, install as shown in the figure below.

Precautions
| Precautions |
| ● Please make sure to perform wiring with the power turned off. ● Please ensure that the power supply voltage remains within the rated range. ● If the power supply is provided by a commercial switching regulator, please ensure that the power supply rack grounding terminal (F.G) is grounded. ● If devices that generate noise, such as switches, regulators, or engines, are used near this sensor. ● Please be sure to ground the device's grounding terminal (F.G). ● Do not use within a short period (0.5s) after the power is turned on. ● Do not run the wiring together with high-voltage power lines or in the same conduit as power lines, as this may cause malfunction due to induction. ● Avoid dust, dirt, and water vapor. ● Please do not allow the sensor to come into direct contact with water, oil, grease, or organic solvents such as thinners. |
