Parallel keys are divided into three types: standard parallel keys, thin parallel keys, guiding parallel keys.
Standard parallel keys have good centering, high positioning accuracy and easy assembly, but they cannot achieve axial fixation of parts on the shaft. They are used for shafts that are high-speed or subjected to impact and variable loads;
Thin parallel keys are used for thin-walled structures and places where the transmission torque is small; guiding parallel keys are used to fix the keys on the shaft with screws, and are used for occasions where the parts on the shaft do not move much along the shaft.
■Difference between MISUMI Economy series parallel key and generic products on the market※

Economy series product is different in tolerance compared to the standard product, and at the same time the price drops significantly.· For MISUMI Economy series parallel keys, the tensile strength can meet the requirements of medium and low speed use. The dimensional tolerance conforms to GB standard, with guaranteed material and stable performance
■Quality:
Round R Angle: MISUMI Economy series incorporates imported cutting tools and strictly complies with GB standard. For generic products on the market, the accuracy of round R angle is poor, and it cannot be completely matched during assembly.

※The test data are obtained through testing by our company, which are for reference only
※Generic products on the market are similar products randomly purchased by our company from online or offline markets
2) When the keyway and the parallel key are used too tightly, the parallel key cannot be installed in the keyway.
