It is a purging compound with no filler. Used for cleaning paint and dirt stuck in the screw, barrel (cylinder) of the machine. Easy to use and convenient to clean the screw, barrel (cylinder). The usage of big volume of purging compound can be saved that must be used to remove color and can help reduce the time needed to clean machines.
How to use MISUMI ECONOMY PURGING COMPOUND
1. Select the purging compound grade which is appropriate to plastic that needs purge / clean from the injection cylinder.By referring to the table below.
2. Firstly, injecting all pellets that remaining in the injection cylinder and then cleaning until there are no plastics pellets insider the injection cylinder.
3. Adjust "Back Pressure" to be "0" and set injection stroke of screw at the maximum stroke. Keep the temperature to be not changed. (The temperature must be in operating temperature of its grade)
4. Put MISUMI ECONOMY PURGING COMPOUND in the hopper by referring the quantity of injection machine size, at the same time, turn the injection screw until the purging compound fill the injection cylinder. Then inject 5-6 shots using manual method and after that turn the injection screw to fill the purging compound in the injection cylinder again.
5. Soak the purging compound in the injection cylinder about 5 minutes for color removal or 10 minutes for black dots removal. After that, completely wash away the purging compound and clean the hopper. (Additional purging compound must not be used for the washing and cleaning step)
6. Adjust machine temperature and condition to be used with the next plastic type. (Please be careful of the temperature for next use, it must be equal to or greater than the operating temperature of the purging compound(
7. Put the next plastic, then purge it out.
8. Apply normal injection process and check the purging effect by work piece inspection.
