MISUMI Sanitary Pipes
Sanitary pipes are used in the manufacture of food, chemicals, semiconductors or other products where sanitation control is important. Most commonly made of SUS304 stainless steel that is polished on both the inner surface and outer surface, these products are shaped to prevent dirt adherence and enable easy cleaning. Also, since the pipe is thinner and more lightweight than regular pipes, piping work and maintenance operations such as removal, installation and cleaning are easier. When connecting sanitary pipes to each other, use a flat ferrule fitting or sanitary screw fitting that is not prone to making the pipe dirty inside. When connecting a sanitary pipe to a regular pipe, use the dedicated adapter with the ferrule fitting or sanitary screw fitting. IDF and ISO are the main standards used in Japan, but other standards such as DIN (Germany), 3A (USA) or SMS (Sweden) may be used in some cases. Be sure to check before connecting to existing pipes.
