Product Description
A high-quality radial ball bearing consisting of an inner ring, outer ring, balls, retainer, and seal.
[Features]
· High-quality small-diameter bearings from a manufacturer that specializes in small-diameter ball bearings. Available from ⌀2 (2 mm inner diameter).
·One of the most commonly used radial ball bearing, consisting of an inner ring, outer ring, balls, retainer, and seal.
·In addition to radial loads, axial loads in both directions can be applied.
·Flanged bearings are deep groove ball bearings with a flange on one side of the outer ring, and because there is no need to provide a shoulder on the inner diameter of the housing, high-precision through hole drilling is possible.
·The flanged type can be mounted using the side of the housing as a reference, and the side must be processed with high accuracy for squareness.
[Applications]
·Since friction torque is small, it is ideal for places where high-speed rotation is required and applications requiring low noise and low vibration.

Usage Example
Preload
A preload is a state in which 2 bearings capable of receiving an axial load are installed in a pair so that a load F (preload) in the axial direction is always applied in advance. Bearings have an internal clearance, but this clearance disappears when preload is applied, allowing the balls and races to come into elastic contact. As a result, the bearing does not rattle due to the clearance, and vibration and noise during rotation can be suppressed. It also increases the rigidity of the bearing.
* If the preload is too large, it will cause an increase in the frictional moment, heat generation, seizure, etc., so it is necessary to appropriately select the amount and method of preload according to the application.
Effect of preload

- 1. Accurate positioning of the shaft in the radial and axial directions and suppresses shaft runout.
- 2. Increase the rigidity of the bearing.
- 3. Prevents noise caused by axial vibration and resonance.
- 4. Suppresses ball revolution slip and rotation slip during high-speed rotation.
- 5. In thrust bearings, the rolling elements are kept in the correct position with respect to the bearing rings.
Preload method

Example of constant pressure preload
A method of applying an appropriate preload to the bearing using a coil spring, disc spring, etc. Even if the relative position of the bearing changes during use, the amount of preload can be kept almost constant. For example, it is less susceptible to dimensional changes, etc., due to temperature. However, it requires space and parts for mounting the spring element. Rigidity is low compared to fixed position preload.
Fixed position preload

Example of fixed position preload
A method of setting the amount of preload by determining the position between the facing bearings. For example, based on the relationship between axial load and axial displacement, the displacement corresponding to the axial load is set according to the spacer dimensions and bearing width dimensions, and the bearing is fixed. The rigidity is high. However, the amount of preload changes due to dimensional changes against the temperature.

Back-to-back arrangement (DB) example

Example of face-to-face arrangement (DF)
Since the amount of preload determines the state of elastic contact between the balls and raceway, if the amount of preload is increased more than necessary, abnormal heat generation, increased frictional moment, and reduced fatigue lifespan will result. On the other hand, if it is too small, it may cause vibration due to lack of rigidity or loss of preload due to external load. Based on their experience, the manufacturer recommends using about 0.5% of Cr for compact motors and other applications that require long-term durability, and about 1% of Cr for general applications that require rigidity, such as machine parts. In addition to preload, it should be determined by taking into consideration the effects of external loads, self-weight, etc.
There are 2 types of preload directions: back-to-back (DB) and face-to-face (DF). The back-to-back arrangement has high rigidity when a moment load is applied. However, if the housing accuracy is poor and there is mounting error (misalignment), the internal load tends to increase. The face-to-face arrangement has relatively low rigidity against moment loads, but is less susceptible to misalignment such as housing accuracy and shaft deflection.
