  • This mechanism stops a thin plate, then changes its orientation by 180 degrees with a vacuum clamp. After changing the orientation, the clamp releases the metal plate and it resumes its motion.

Other Design Consideration

  • The rotary joint is mounted underneath the center of rotation of the rotary table to reduce the stress applied to the vacuum piping route during rotation.
  • The stopper is designed with a taper section to avoid unnecessary contact with the edge of the panel. This helps prevent the workpiece from being damaged.
  • Cracks or breakage must be avoided since the object workpiece is a thin panel (glass).
