Selection steps

■Selection Procedure for Single Axis Actuators

1. Select the Nominal Number (No.) of actuator from stroke and actuator's rated values.

2. Determine the ball screw lead so as to make the operating speed less than the maximum speed (provisional selection).

3. Examine the load applied to the rail, and calculate the equivalent load. Obtain the average load from this value, and calculate the life.

4. Examine the load applied to ball screw and support bearing. Obtain the average load, and calculate the life.
